Statue of Pan

The statue of Pan in the garden

The garden outside the Library has developed gradually since the move to the old Bridget Chapel. From time to time it has become a little scruffy, but then we found a gardener on the staff and things started to look better. Plants were planted, weeds weeded, and things generally watered, tidied and quite Wisleyfied, as the 2006 picture on the index page shows.

The garden wall is part of the Great North Wall of the Abbey, which is listed Grade I and is currently being repaired. We are moving some of the plants so that they have more chance of surviving the invasion of scaffolding which we have been promised.
